Welcome to our new web site! I hope
that it continues to be a source of important information to the
business community on a daily basis. One of the things I have
learned during my time here at AIF is that many employers all
over the country look to www.aif.com for the latest information
on what is going on in Florida.
As we began to enhance the types of
information we would provide both publicly and to members, we
felt it was time to update the "look and feel" and navigation
of the site to make the information easier to find. I think this
new site does just that and should be a great tool for all the
parties interested in AIF and the issues that affect Florida's
business community.
I would encourage you to keep checking
back with us here at aif.com during the upcoming legislative session
as there will be a slew of news stories, updates and reports telling
you what is happening in the halls of the state capitol. Along
those same lines, I would also suggest that you check out AIF's
first blog done by our Chief Lobbyist, Keyna Cory. Periodically
throughout the session, she will give you a blow-by-blow account
of all the twists and turns of the major issues as they make their
way through the process.
Keep in mind that if you are a member
of AIF, be sure and sign up for our electronic updates that have
become the #1 source for employers in Florida during the legislative
session. The Daily Brief is released each and every night during
the 60-day session and provides an analysis of that day's events
on business issues. We follow that each Friday during session
with the Weekly Update that wraps up the entire week's activities.
Both of these reports are available to AIF members via their email.
All you have to do is click on the "Member Only" button
on the front page of this site and select "Member Profile"
to sign up for them.
Finally, feel free to drop us an email
and pass on your thoughts, questions or comments you may have.
We are here to serve our members.
