The “Citizens for Fairness in Florida” coalition gathered on Tuesday of this week for a rally to the Capitol in support of legislation to close a tax loophole on Dosal Tobacco.

Jose Gonzalez, AIF’s Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Chief Lobbyist, joined “Citizens for Fairness in Florida” in support of the initiative. “All businesses in the tobacco industry must be held to the same standard,” he explained to a crowd of more than 200 people. The current proposal, HB 1207 by Representative John Tobia (R-Melbourne), would go a long way in leveling the playing field for all large tobacco companies in Florida.
