AIF Stands in Support of Hiring Military Veterans

On Tuesday, January 24th AIF stood with Governor Rick Scott, Workforce Florida, military leaders and members of the business community to celebrate Florida National Guard Day at the Capitol.

Tuesday’s event marked the beginning of a year-long effort to connect Florida employers with returning veterans who possess a broad range of applicable skills suitable to today’s workforce. AIF President & CEO Tom Feeney was proud to stand alongside Florida leaders and support the Hiring Florida’s Heroes message. Tuesday’s campaign has also helped raise awareness of recently expanded federal tax credits of up to $9,600 per veteran hired through the Vow to Hire Heroes Act of 2011.
