Governor Scott Applauds AIF’s Commitment to Economic Prosperity and Job Creation

In appreciation of the business community’s continued support, Governor Rick Scott has authored a letter to AIF members thanking them for their unwavering commitment to job creation and economic growth. 

“Florida’s business community has successfully created jobs and thus, our unemployment rate has declined for ten consecutive months to its lowest point since January 2009.  We could not have achieved this without you.  Your ability to create jobs is even more impressive when you consider the fact that Florida lost jobs each of the four years before my inauguration.”

Through partnership with AIF, Governor Scott outlines his success in repealing more than 1,000 needless rules and regulations, increasing the business tax exemption from $5,000 to $50,000, and for efforts in shrinking the size and scope of government.  “Governor Rick Scott continues to be a champion for Florida businesses and is to be commended for having an open door policy on issues of great importance to our state’s employers,” said President & CEO Tom Feeney.
