“We were extremely hopeful the Legislature would override the veto of HB 5603, a bill clarifying that all prescriptions would be charged the same price, regardless of where the drugs are dispensed.

AIF's employer members look forward to working with lawmakers next session to pass legislation that closes this loophole and brings additional fairness and predictability to Florida's workers' compensation system. 

HB 5603 represented at least $34 million in workers' comp rate savings for Florida's employers.  Those are real dollars that would have had a significant impact on today's challenging economic environment.”
