The AIF Political Council (AIFPC) kicked-off the Meet & Greet Luncheon series yesterday at AIF’s headquarters. The Meet & Greet luncheons are an exclusive benefit to AIFPC members by providing them the opportunity to meet with the candidates about their issues and learn about the campaigns first hand from the candidates prior to the AIFPC candidate questionnaire and interview process.
The first candidate to participate in the luncheon series was Matthew Gaetz (R-Fort Walton Beach). He is the son of current Senator Don Gaetz (R-Fort Walton Beach), and is a Republican candidate in House District 4, currently held by Representative Ray Sansom (R-Fort Walton Beach), who is term limited in 2010. Gaetz, 27, is an attorney with Keefe, Anchors, Gordon & Moyle and a former legislative aide to Representative Sansom.
The Meet & Greet Luncheons will be scheduled each month leading up to the 2010 Florida legislative session. The mission of the AIFPC is to provide information and access for its membership on election news and information, candidates, polls and the overall political environment in Florida, providing the members an opportunity to take an active role in Florida’s political process.
