Over the last several months, AIF has been leading a coalition of business and local government representatives in an effort to combat new Federally-mandated water quality standards that will result in utility rate increases for Florida employers and consumers. This week, the U.S. EPA finally released a copy of the new rules. However, the agency also announced that the new rule would not take affect for 15 months. While we are pleased with the delay, the nature of the new rule is incredibly problematic for the business community.
