Today, HB 283 Related to Seaport Security has passed the Legislature and will now head to the Governor to be signed into law. This has been a top priority of AIF and our Florida Maritime Council (FMC) for many years. We appreciate the commitment and leadership of this year's sponsors, Rep. Dana Young (R-Tampa) and Sen. Jack Latvala (R-St. Petersburg). Thanks are also due to all the AIF Maritime Council members who worked so tirelessly for all these many years to make Florida a better place for doing business.
