The Environmental Regulations Commission just voted to approve the numeric nutrient criteria (NNC) rule proposed by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), with amendments. The amended rule will now proceed to the Florida Legislature for ratification before being submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its approval.
