Tallahassee, Fla. – The Associated Industries of Florida Political Action Committee (AIFPAC) today announced it has endorsed Republican Candidate Jose Diaz in his bid for Senate District 40, which includes a portion of Miami-Dade County.  The Special Primary Election is scheduled for July 25, 2017. 

“AIF and our members are proud to endorse Representative Diaz in his race for Senate District 40,” said AIF President & CEO Tom Feeney.  “Representative Diaz has been a proven leader for his district and the State of Florida, focusing on issues that matter most to Florida businesses and families, including tax relief, job growth and burdensome regulation reductions.  Currently representing a portion of this district in the Florida House, Representative Diaz is a natural fit for this seat, as he is keenly knowledgeable of the Miami-Dade community and the needs of his fellow Floridians.”

Since the 1994 elections, more than 90 percent of the candidates supported by AIF’s political operations division have won their races. This success is assured through the actions of AIF's Political Council – the AIF research, analysis and education arm.
