Tallahassee, Fla. – The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF), in partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), today launched the first-of-its-kind digital Manufacturers Marketplace at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Jacksonville, Fla.
“We’re excited to be in Jacksonville today at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery to announce the first-of-its-kind digital Manufacturers Marketplace along with our partner, NAM, as well as several Jacksonville community co-hosts,” said AIF President & CEO Tom Feeney. “We created this product to help manufacturers gain exposure within the supply chain and grow their businesses. This digital resource is a game-changer. Unlike current manufacturing directories, the Manufacturers Marketplace allows buyers to access companies’ capabilities in order to identify and engage the right supply chain partner for your needs.”
“We are pleased to partner with the Associated Industries of Florida on today’s launch of this unique digital Manufacturers Marketplace in Florida,” said NAM President & CEO Jay Timmons. “This new digital marketplace will bring comprehensive search capabilities that allow buyers to quickly identify resourceful partners. Beyond the generic contact information circulating the marketplace, users may enrich their chosen facility profile with a vast array of additional information, including equipment, certifications, processes and much more.”
The Manufacturers Marketplace is a web-based, searchable buyer/seller network featuring listings of hundreds of thousands of manufacturers in the United States, including Puerto Rico. Created in partnership with AIF and NAM, as well as other leading state manufacturing associations, the Manufacturers Marketplace is designed to bolster manufacturers in the United States by helping them find, get found and advance their businesses.
Co-hosting the Florida First Coast event in Jacksonville, Fla., were FloridaMakes, Foley & Lardner LLP, JAXChamber, Jacksonville Electric Authority, Rayonier Materials and Space Florida.
The Florida First Coast event is the first of multiple, regional events that will take place around Florida. Details regarding upcoming events will be announced at a later date.
