Tallahassee, Fla. – The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) today released the following statement attributed to its President & CEO Tom Feeney regarding Governor Rick Scott’s 2018 State of the State address.

“AIF congratulates Governor Rick Scott for all of his accomplishments that were outlined in his final State of the State address today.  From Day One, our Governor set out to do what he said he would when he campaigned on ‘Let’s Get to Work.’  He rolled up his sleeves and he ‘Got to Work.’ 

“Eight years later, more than 1.4 million Floridians have been added to private sector employment rolls.  As the voice of Florida’s business community, AIF is proud of the work the Governor has done to make Florida one of the best places to do business. 

“We look forward to working with the Governor and the Florida Legislature this session on measures that continue to grow our job base and diversify our economy, cut taxes, and reduce red tape to the benefit of Florida employers and employees.”
