Moments ago, a letter from House Speaker Marco Rubio (R-Miami) and Senate President Ken Pruitt (R-Port St. Lucie) was released stating that the Special Session to reduce the state’s budget and which was to begin on September 18th has been placed on hold. In the letter, both legislative leaders agree that there is still much work to be done on the issue of budget cuts and that holding a Special Session at this time would not be the most productive.
